All Kalmar counter balanced machines, including reachstackers, empty container handlers and forklifts have been updated to meet safety standard EN 1175:2020 to ensure that working with a Kalmar machine is as safe as it can be.

Proven, powerful yet efficient drive lines with the medium performance version having a fully automatic transmission with 3 gears both forwards and backwards and the high performance having 4 gears both backwards and forwards with lock-up. Plus, a choice of engines that meet both the EU Stage 3, 4 & 5 as well as EPA Tier 3 and 4 Emissions Standards. With the added efficiency of load sensing hydraulics and Eco Drive Modes included as standard and a choice of options for greater fuel efficiency, such as Start/Stop technology and Tyre Pressure Monitoring – you will cut fuel consumption and operating costs.
There is a broad range of safety features and productivity options for your empty container handler. You can choose from reverse warning systems, additional cameras or lights, as well as a wide range of different drive lines and spreaders.
Your cabin can be mounted in either a high or low position, and there are four spreader options and five different lifting heights to choose from for both the single and double empty container stackers.
Each of our empty container handlers is fitted with a Kalmar EGO cabin with a multifunctional joystick or linear lift levers, advanced ergonomics for extra comfort and improved visibility in all directions. These are just different names used for empty container handling equipment, they are often also called empty container top loaders. Our empty container handlers have a spreader mounted on a mast, while our top loaders have a top lift spreader mounted on their mast. Both can move empty containers quickly and efficiently.
